While I’ve spent most of my career working with textiles, I’ve come to love designing dinnerware. The first project below, the Secret Garden Dinnerware collection for Goop, was so much fun. A product of the collaboration between Social Studies and Goop, these plates were inspired by vintage English tea cups and botanical etchings, updated with a dramatic emerald ground.

It’s one thing to paint a 9”x12” sheet of paper- it’s another to magnify it to 9 feet high and 12 feet wide! I love the impact that wall decor can have on a room.

One of my favorite collaborations is that between textile designer and furniture designer. The synergy of silhouette and surface art that originates from two minds always seems to create something greater than the sum of the parts.

From porcelain to petrified wood, decorative accessories provide an endless opportunity for material experimentation. Sometimes it’s about form and function- and sometimes it’s just about beauty.

Even though I usually find myself designing holiday decor in the heat of summer a year before it’s brought to market, I can’t deny how much I love it. Holiday is where both the traditional and the eccentric come out to play.
